The Accreditation Expert Panel (AEP) supports the implementation of standards and procedures for accrediting operational entities involved in validation and verification of projects and programmes of activities under the Article 6.4 mechanism, also known as the Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism.
 

The AEP has specific functions to support the work of the Supervisory Body and:

•   Considers the results of assessments of designated operational entities (DOEs) regarding their compliance with accreditation requirements;
   
•   Provides advice and recommendations to the Supervisory Body on accreditation requirements for DOEs;
   
•   Provides advice and recommendations to the Supervisory Body on the improvement of the accreditation process.

The Supervisory Body agreed that the terms of service for AEP members will be until 31 March 2026.
