The UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centres (RCCs) support climate action across the globe by helping countries implement the Paris Agreement. Since its adoption in 2015 and acting as regional hubs, RCCs deliver technical assistance, foster capacity-building, and strengthen climate partnerships tailored to national and local contexts.
Together with our regional partners, RCCs work directly with stakeholders to unlock climate finance, scale up mitigation and adaptation projects, and drive implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and Article 6 mechanisms.
How RCCs Support Climate Action
- Technical assistance and training on mitigation and adaptation.
- Support for implementing and enhancing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
- Engagement with the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and carbon markets.
- Collaboration on climate technologies and innovation.
- Facilitation of Article 6 implementation under the Paris Agreement.
