Upcoming additional Technical Workshop to facilitate the design of gender action plan activities – 6–7 September 2025, Addis Ababa

 An additional technical workshop to facilitate the development of activities under the new gender action plan will be held on 6–7 September 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event, hosted by Ethiopia, will take place at the same venue as the UNFCCC Climate Week and the Africa Climate Summit but is not part of those events.

This workshop follows the discussions at SB 62 (available here) and is an important milestone ahead of SBI 63.

Virtual participation (open to all)

In-person participation will be confirmed considering regional, Party, observer and gender balance, as well as role played in workshop delivery and in implementing the enhanced Lima work programme on gender and its gender action plan. Confirmations will be on a first come, first served basis.

Deadline to register is 25 July 2025 at 23:59 CEST.
