Background
The Article 6.4 mechanism Supervisory Body is seeking inputs regarding requirements for the development and assessment of mechanism methodologies.
This work is being carried out in response to a request of the CMA (decision 3/CMA.3, paragraph 6(d)).
The Supervisory Body, at its sixth meeting, requested the secretariat to launch a call for public inputs with a view to seeking further input from stakeholders (see SB 006 meeting report, paragraph 19).
This structured public consultation is being conducted as per the request of the CMA (decision 7/CMA.4, paragraph 22), that requested the Supervisory Body to consider broader inputs from stakeholders provided in a structured public consultation process.
Open Call
The public consultation process is open for a two-week period from 3 to 16 August 2023.
Submission Details
Stakeholders are encouraged to provide input to the specific questions formulated in the draft recommendation (see A6.4-SB007-AA-A##), as highlighted in the recommendation text for ease of reference, and on the following aspects:
- Addressing options laid out in the text for implementation of baseline, additionality and leakage assessment requirements;
- Addressing pros and cons of the different options;
- Addressing the balance in the text between substantive guidance in the draft recommendation text and further guidance to be elaborated in the tools;
- Addressing clarity, structure and understanding of text, with proposals for improvement.
