Background

The Supervisory Body is developing the following regulatory documents* to operationalize the Article 6.4 mechanism activity cycle:

• Activity standard for projects (AS-P) 
• Validation and verification standard for projects (VVS-P)
• Activity cycle procedure for projects (ACP-P) 

* Note: These draft documents include sections with options and square-bracketed paragraphs/phrases. These segments are pending decisions by the Supervisory Body or are contingent on the ongoing consideration of methodological requirements.

The Supervisory Body, at its seventh meeting, requested the secretariat to launch a call for public input on the draft versions of these documents. This will be followed by a webinar in October 2023 (with the specific date yet to be determined).  The call for public input and the webinar form part of the focused and inclusive stakeholder interactions aimed at developing these regulatory documents (refer to the SB 007 meeting report, paragraphs 16 and 17).

Please note the Supervisory Body also plans to develop a set of regulatory documents for programmes of activities (PoAs) at a later stage. This current call focuses solely on the versions intended for projects.

Open Call 

The call for public inputs is open for a two-week period from 15 to 28 September 2023.

Stakeholders are encouraged to provide comments on any section of the draft documents.
