2024 ACE Gallery

Following the success of its inaugural edition, the ACE Gallery – a poster session on Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), children and youth – was organized again at the 60th session of the subsidiary bodies (SB 60) in Bonn, Germany. This year, the ACE Gallery coincided with two mandated events – the expert dialogue on children and climate change (4 June 2024) and the 2024 ACE Dialogue (8 June 2024).

The 2024 ACE Gallery was divided into two thematic sessions, coinciding with relevant mandated events taking place at SB 60.

  • 4 June 2024 (Tuesday): on education and empowerment of children and youth, with in-person interaction taking place between 13:00 – 15:00 (CEST)
  • 8 June 2024 (Saturday): on tools and support for ACE implementation, with in-person interaction taking place between 13:00 – 15:00 (CEST)

The poster session took place at the World Conference Centre Bonn (WCCB) Foyer. Due to logistical constraints, virtual options to present or participate were not available. However, all posters are available below.

Objective

Recognizing the importance of bringing together different expertise, resources and knowledge to accelerate ACE implementation through cooperation, collaboration and partnerships, the ACE Gallery aimed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Showcase activities that enhance implementation of the Glasgow work programme and its action plan at different levels by diverse stakeholders, including children and youth;
  • Connect and encourage peer-to-peer exchange and networking within the ACE community;
  • Foster opportunities for further engagement and collaboration among initiatives and programmes that extend beyond the expert dialogue and the ACE Dialogue.

The ACE Gallery is supported by the ACE Hub, which is a three-year collaboration between the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the secretariat aimed at increasing public support for and engagement in climate action that can help accelerate the implementation of ACE and the Paris Agreement across all sectors of society.
