The Standing Committee on Finance will share information on progress made against its workplan and deliverables.

Objective

This virtual event, held during the November Dialogues, will give opportunity to the Standing Committee on Finance to communicate the status of its work plan and progress made across various workstreams. The event will be an interactive session with its stakeholders in the climate finance community and allow strategic discussions on the work of the Committee and how its flagship products could support and inform the work of Parties and non-Party stakeholders.

Format

Virtual event on a suitable platform for a duration of 1.5 hours. Observers will be able to join the discussions and request the floor. The Co-Chairs would open the session and provide brief updates on the most important areas of work and activities undertaken in 2020 and invite the co-facilitators of the workstreams to convey further planning and preparatory work to be continued in 2021. Lead discussants would be invited to engage with the SCF on strategic aspects of the Committee’s work and engagement opportunities going forward, moderated by SCF Co-Chairs.
