What the climate weeks are all about
The Africa Climate Week (ACW) is part of the Regional Climate Weeks held annually- a new edition of the Regional Carbon Forums that were organized annually by the Nairobi Framework Partnership (NFP) since 2007.
The ACW is a multipurpose platform designed to foster engagement between governments and non-government stakeholders to advance regional climate action. The ACW is organized to mobilize and enhance the required partnerships and collaborative approaches to address climate change.
Participation
The Africa climate week attracts participation of Heads of State, Ministers, Government officials, Heads of UN organizations and other multilateral agencies, Financial institutions, business leaders, civil society organizations, private sector, youth, academia, among others. These stakeholders create a hub for dialogue and reflection on addressing climate change challenges and opportunities in the region.
Participants can attend high-level segments, build capacity through workshops, participate in side events organized by the private sector, engage in dedicated sessions on technical discussions targeting the region’s most relevant transformative areas, engage with youth and civil society organizations and showcase their work. Registration for all participants is FREE
