Context

Even if we stopped emissions rising today, the world would still need to deal with significant climate disruption. Climate change affects lives and livelihoods and reshapes economies, landscapes and communities. Impacts are already being felt across the world, with the most vulnerable communities being hit the hardest. All countries will be affected, and all will need to take action.

We need to pool the best ideas and learn from each other. Effective action will require a good understanding of the risks posed in any particular place, and effective planning to be able to ensure resources are used effectively. Adaptation activities will themselves need to be adaptable, changing with circumstances.

Objective

This event will share insight from technicians and Parties about delivering and assessing progress on adaptation.  This event will concentrate on technical understanding of methodologies for planning action and tracking progress on adaptation.
