Background

The 9th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum (APAN Forum 2025) will bring together governments, youth, civil society, development partners and the private sector to advance climate-resilient development in the region.

The Forum will focus on four priority systems critical to achieving a just and climate-resilient future for all:

  • Food and agricultural systems

  • Land and water ecosystems and biodiversity

  • Infrastructure, cities and industries

  • Health, livelihoods and societies

These systems will be addressed through five cross-cutting enablers: policies and governance, innovation, science and evidence, finance, and social capital and equity.

As part of the programme, RCC Asia and the Pacific is co-organizing three sessions that highlight the role of youth, finance, and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) in driving transformational adaptation.

  • Strengthened understanding among countries of how to apply the revised NAP Technical Guidelines in practice.
  • Knowledge of practical approaches and tools to link adaptation, finance and nature in national planning processes.
  • Opportunities for new regional partnerships among governments, UN agencies, youth organizations, and development partners.

Target Audience
