10. Matters relating to the least developed countries
Abstract

The 41st meeting of the Least Developed Countries Expert Group took place in Nairobi from 21 to 23 March 2022. The Group discussed progress in implementing its activities for 2021–2022 and integrating a gender perspective into its work, and developed its work programme for 2022–2023. In addition, the meeting included discussions with the Chair of the least developed countries Group on those countries’ priorities and needs for support; with representatives of the Green Climate Fund, the Global Environment Facility and its agencies, and organizations on providing support to the least developed countries; and with other constituted bodies on collaborating in supporting the least developed countries. This report covers the status of the process to formulate and implement national adaptation plans, and the implementation of adaptation projects identified in national adaptation programmes of action and related strategies and plans on the basis of information considered at the meeting and updates provided thereafter.
