Abstract
This paper summarises information on best practices, challenges and lessons learned from financial instruments at micro, meso and macro levels that address loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change submitted from 19 Parties and organizations to the Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism. Based on the submissions, the paper also provides the landscape of existing financial instruments, and describes their advantage and potential, as well as challenges at different levels of application. Lessons learned and ongoing good practices are highlighted, and examples are provided of where these instruments have been applied.
