Background

This lab will discuss and explore a plan for delivery of an Enabling Insurance Breakthrough (EIB) to mobilize insurance, industry and finance in order to catalyse a paradigm shift needed to de-risk & help accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Climate Solutions.

Suggested Outcomes

• The narrative will be re-framed, such that insurance is seen as an integral part of the financial sector which has been overlooked and is a critical enabler to achievement of the 2030 Climate Solutions.
• Attendees are engaged and sufficiently briefed to enable them to identify additional ways that insurance could help them achieve and raise their climate and nature goals.
• The Enabling Insurance Breakthrough plan is widely endorsed and achieves additional support for its delivery from the attendees.
