Mandate

The COP, CMP and CMA adopted the workplan of the forum on the impacts of the implementation of response measures and its Katowice Committee on Impacts (KCI) under decisions 4/CP.25, decision 4/CMP.15, and decision 4/CMA.2 respectively. Under activity 4 of the workplan of the forum and its KCI, the forum is  mandated to implement the activity titled “Enhance the capacity and understanding of Parties, through collaboration and input from stakeholders, on the assessment and analysis of the impacts of the implementation of response measures to facilitate the undertaking of economic diversification and transformation and just transition” at SB63 using the modalities of; (i) input from experts, practitioners and relevant organizations, and (ii) awareness-building and enhancing information-sharing through the exchange and sharing of experience and best practices.

• Building on implementing existing mandates and experiences, what should be strengthened or developed under the forum and KCI to close capacity gaps, enhance information-sharing, and scale up impact assessment efforts in the workplan 2026-2030?
