During the 60th sessions of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Bodies (SB 60) in Bonn, Germany, a series of regional consultation meetings were convened. These sessions brought together national focal points to engage in focused dialogues on the regional progress, opportunities, and challenges in accessing and mobilizing climate finance under the NBF Project.
 

Consultation meetings were held with representatives from the following regional groups:

• ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States)
• EAC (East African Community)
• AUDA-NEPAD (African Union Development Agency)
• ISIO (Indian Ocean Small Island Developing States)
• ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)
• CASC (Central Asia and Southern Caucasus)
• LDC Asia (Least Developed Countries in Asia)
• PIFS (Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat)
   

These consultations provided a platform to review the current status of the NBF project in each region, discuss ongoing efforts, institutional and financial challenges, and opportunities, explore progress on pipeline development for climate finance programming and determine next steps to accelerate implementation and support. 

Each regional discussion reflected the unique climate finance context, including governance structures, financing gaps, and recent initiatives. While some sessions emphasized identifying climate finance priorities and technical assessment of finance flows, others focused on the development of project pipelines and stakeholder coordination.
