The AC took note of the information on accomplished and finalized work and agreed to take into account relevant lessons learned.
The AC agreed to:
- Continue to compile methodologies for assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of adaptation and support, jointly with the LEG and in collaboration with the SCF;
- At AC 27, provide advice to the NWP and its partner organizations on how to engage in the AC’s work, taking into account its 2025-2027 flexible workplan;
- Start to engage with the LEG as early as possible on the organization of the NAP Expo 2025 to ensure timely and transparent planning;
- Continue the exchange with the IPCC WGII Co-Chairs and TSU on opportunities for collaboration.
- Further determine how to enhance its collaboration with external experts and organizations. It requested the secretariat to draft an options paper for consideration at AC 27.

- Agreed to continue considering and refining the draft strategy paper during 2025, including the consideration of publication modalities related to the compiled resources;
- Agreed to continue engagement and collaboration with the CGE, LEG, and other relevant constituted bodies and partners, emphasizing the importance of collaboration for this mandate.

6. Recommendations on how to improve reporting on adaptation action and progress (in collaboration with CGE and LEG)

Summary outcome
The AC agreed to:
- Consider, at AC 27, an initial mapping and analysis of existing adaptation reporting requirements, guidelines and practices under the Convention and the Paris Agreement, as well as providing insights on synergies with existing adaptation-related reporting guidelines for other relevant intergovernmental processes;
- Consider, at AC28, an updated mapping and analysis, which will include information on the first BTRs, updated NDCs, and other relevant reports and information from Parties;
- Continue collaborating with the CGE and the LEG on this mandate.

8. Work of the Adaptation Committee Task Force on National Adaptation Plans

- The AC considered the draft policy brief and agreed to provide further input and review the document in line with the scope of the policy brief, as well as the mandate of the NAP Taskforce, ensuring adaptation relevance.
- The AC took note of the actions accomplished by the NAP TF in line with its 2022-2024 workplan.
- The AC agreed to provide guidance to the NAP TF at AC 27 regarding possible future activities in light of the new AC flexible workplan for 2025-2027.

- The AC noted the utility, value and user-friendliness of the interactive portal, as presented during the meeting, as well as the applicability of this work to multiple mandates and workstreams.
- The AC also considered how to launch this portal.
- The AC agreed to discuss potential future work and developments at AC 27, which may include a synthesis report, further development of the content of the portal, as well as the addition of user guidelines on how to navigate the portal.

11. (b) Adaptation Committee activities at COP 29/CMA 6

The AC considered opportunities for engagement in different activities at COP 29 and agreed on the following:
- To hold a session in the context of the PCCB Capacity-Building Hub’s focus day on “Finance for NAPs”;
- To accept the NAP Global Network proposal to co-host and jointly plan a session to further disseminate the AC/NAP GN Toolkit for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for NAP Processes;
- To request the secretariat to consult with the FWG LCIPP on its activities at COP 29 and any possible opportunities for the AC’s NAP Taskforce to present its policy brief;
- To request the secretariat to apply for a space for an AC event to showcase the report on 30 Years of Adaptation, and an interim version of the State of Adaptation interactive country portal with validated profiles.

- The AC decided on the following priority documents for informal translation into other UN languages:
- The new publication on 30 Years of Adaptation, upon its finalization; and
- The updated version of the 2022 publication on navigating the landscape of support for the process to formulate and implement NAPs.
- The AC agreed to continue considerations intersessionally of additional priority publications for translation.
- The AC discussed better ways to disseminate products and get feedback, as well as to enhance use of social media and improve the accessibility of the website.
- The AC agreed to keep the Adaptation Finance Bulletin as it is, and to prepare an additional action bulletin/newsletter, which should feature AC activities and products.
