Mandate

In decisions 6/CP.30, 2/CMP.20 and 14/CMA.7, the Conference of the Parties (COP), the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP), and the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA) mandated the Forum and its KCI to conduct an awareness-building and information-sharing activity at SB 64 under Activity 6 of the 2026–2030 workplan. Activity 6 calls on the Forum and KCI to analyse, assess and report on the impacts of measures taken to combat climate change, including cross-border impacts, recalling Article 3, paragraph 5, of the Convention.
