Abstract
The synopsis provides a summary of the information contained in the online database on organizations working on slow onset events as at December 2015. It maps out 151 organizations, globally and by region, according to the scope of their efforts in key areas, including data collection, stakeholder engagement, and policy design, detailed by type of slow onset event, as well as a brief description of the types of information contained in the database such as relevant institutional mandates and operational frameworks, implementation modalities, approaches used and delivery mechanisms, description of relevant efforts to address slow onset events, quick links to the most relevant resources and outputs of organizations, and relevant stakeholders and target beneficiaries.
