Information for participants
The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement, decided in Decision 3/CMA.5 that at least two dialogues shall be held each year as part of the work programme, with one to be held prior to the first regular sessions of the subsidiary bodies, starting with their sixtieth sessions (June 2024), and one prior to the second regular sessions of the subsidiary bodies, starting with their sixty-first sessions (November 2024), and that such dialogues should be conducted in hybrid format to allow both in-person and virtual participation.
The Second Dialogue under the United Arab Emirates Just Transition Work Programme (Decision 3/CMA.5) will take place 2-3 October, 2024 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
Venue
The event will be held at Maritim Jolie Ville Resort in Naama Bay, Sharm El Sheikh.
Accomodation
Participants are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements and free to book accommodation of their own choice. Information on available special room rates at the venue was shared with National Focal Points.
Daily subsistence allowance (DSA) disbursement and travel
Delegates from Parties eligible for funding and who opted for payment at the venue, may visit the daily subsistence allowance (DSA) desk located at the Second Dialogue venue. Please bring your passport, electronic flight ticket confirmation and boarding pass(es) to avoid delay of your DSA payment.
*Note on travel for participants funded by UNFCCC secretariat: Any changes made to the date of departure and/or arrival may incur a fee. Changes for private reasons are to be paid by the traveler. The UNFCCC secretariat will not be responsible for costs associated with any changes you may wish to make to your ticket, for example upgrading, re-routing or stop-overs.

Visa
The government of Egypt is pleased to provide special visa arrangements for all participants attending the second dialogue. You are eligible for a visa of entry free of charge from all Egyptian missions abroad.
To apply for the visa, please submit the following documents as soon as possible:
1. Completed visa application form
2. Two passport-sized personal photos.
3. The official registration letter from the Secretariat.
For participants residing in countries without an Egyptian mission, please provide proof of residence and contact the following focal point: Ms. Maria Yehia () to request a visa upon arrival.

Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive international medical insurance for the duration of their stay. The United Nations and the UNFCCC secretariat disclaim all responsibility for medical, accident and travel insurance, for compensation for death or disability, for loss of or damage to personal property and for any other costs or losses that may be incurred during travel or the period of participation at the conference including pre-sessional meetings.
In the interests of the security and safety of all participants and the smooth running of the sessions, the UNFCCC secretariat reserves the right to deny and/or restrict access to the conference premises, or to request participants to leave the premises. The UNFCCC secretariat shall not be responsible for any expenses incurred by participants who are requested to leave the premises or refused registration or access to the sessions for which they have been nominated and/or registered as participants.
