Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza (CATIE)
CATIE is a regional center dedicated to research and graduate education in agriculture, and the management, conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. Its members include Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Venezuela, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the State of Acre in Brazil.

Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT)
CIAT develops crops, agricultural practices, interventions, and policies to maximize health and nutrition benefits.
It moves smallholder agriculture from subsistence to profit, and ensures all children, women and men have access to affordable and healthy food through sustainable food systems. It helps communities, regions, and countries strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to the impacts of climate change and extreme events.
CIAT works in collaboration with hundreds of partners to help developing countries make farming more competitive, profitable, and resilient through smarter, more sustainable natural resource management. We help policymakers, scientists, and farmers respond to some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including food insecurity and malnutrition, climate change, and environmental degradation.
Its global research contributes to several of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and cuts across four key themes: big data, climate-smart agriculture, ecosystem action, and sustainable food systems.

Confederación Nacional Agraria (CNA)
CNA is a union organization of peasant women and men, small and medium agrarian producers and native peoples. Its bases are articulated in 19 regional federations in the coast, highlands and jungle of Peru.
It defends the interests of the people of the countryside, promoting their leadership and training to respect their rights, modes of production and means of livelihood.
In addition, it articulates its struggle with national and international organizations and social movements. Its horizon is to build new social paradigms such as Good Living that prioritize popular power and guarantee the sovereignty of peoples.

Consejo Civil Mexicano para la Silvicultura Sostinible, A. C. (CCMSS)
CCMSS supports communities, communal land and smallholders to increase their management capabilities that allow them to improve the functionality of their territories and thus improve local economies, improve the condition of their resources and move towards sustainable schemes of exploitation, protection, industrialization and commercialization of its resources.

Coordinadora de Organizaciones Campesinas e Instituciones Agrarias del Perú (COORU)
COORU has been executing projects that are based on the development of: a) advocacy capacities, which seek to strengthen the influence capacities of rural organizations on public policies at the regional and national levels related to the agricultural sector and rural development, becoming the agrarian organizations in references of influence in the rural power relations. Therefore, the development of proposal capacities for the incidence is required; and b) economic capacities that help strengthen the skills of representative organizations of family farming that access competitive markets, developing and positioning themselves within the value chain. That is, becoming a benchmark for productive, commercial and value added management in their businesses.
Coordinadora Rural has a multidisciplinary team of professionals and technicians with academic training and experience in rural and agrarian development, who share the institutional purposes such as: contribute to eradicate poverty, the economic, social and cultural marginalization of the rural population; contribute to sustainable human development and promote a higher level of equity and access to opportunities for the development of rural society. Its functions are fulfilled with a transparent management.

Corporación Educativa para el Desarrollo Costarricense SC (CEDECO)
CEDECO was founded in 1984 as a space for alternative communication in Costa Rica. In 1988 it began to work in rural areas with the first Ecodesarrollo trials. In the mid-90s it started working on experimental farms with the indigenous Bribris and Cabécares, in the Costa Rican Caribbean area. The experiences showed that an integral production without agrochemicals is possible, recovering the "creole seeds" and producing enough for subsistence.
Its strategy is to get involved fully in the promotion of agroecology, supporting communities and small farmers' organizations. In addition, CEDECO structured a first educational strategy with a strong role of participation of rural women.

Fundación Agreste
Fundación Agreste’s work is based mainly on three basic criteria,
Sustainable Development, understood as Environmental Sustainability, Economic Sustainability and Social Equity;
Social Responsibility in conjunction with companies to develop programs, projects and activities; and
Research and Innovation to achieve the development of community micro-enterprises, sustainable agriculture, access to water, sustainable forest management, adaptation based on ecosystems, among others, to face vulnerability and eradicate poverty.
Fundación Agreste encourages effective participation in caring for the environment, supporting initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for Sustainable Development and encouraging the establishment and strengthening of Civil Society Organizations that allow establishing bonds of friendship and understanding between human beings and in their relationship with the medium.

IICA, the specialized agency of the Inter-American System for agriculture, supports the efforts of the Member States to achieve agricultural development and rural well-being. Its mission is to encourage, promote and support its Member States in their efforts to achieve agricultural development and rural well-being through international technical cooperation of excellence.
