Abstract

The "Annotated Guidelines for the Preparation of National Adaptation Programmes of Action" provides comprehensive guidance for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to identify and prioritize their urgent and immediate adaptation needs due to climate change. This document outlines a systematic approach to creating National Adaptation Programmes of Action (NAPAs), emphasizing stakeholder engagement, multidisciplinary team formation, and vulnerability assessments. It offers practical advice for developing project profiles and accessing support from the Global Environment Facility for NAPA implementation. These guidelines aim to enhance the capacity of LDCs to respond effectively to climate variability and foster sustainable adaptation strategies.
