Introduction
In its three‐year workplan, the Adaptation Committee (AC) agreed to convene, in the third quarter of 2015, an expert meeting, led by members of the AC, on promoting livelihoods and economic diversification to build resilience in the context of planning, prioritizing and implementing adaptation.
In response to the recommendation by the AC, the SBSTA concluded that the secretariat, under the guidance of the Chair of the SBSTA and in collaboration with relevant Nairobi work programme (NWP) partner organizations, should support the workshop, building on relevant work undertaken under the NWP on this matter.
