On this page, you will find useful information on how to host an event at Africa Climate Week 2023
***The deadline for submitting expressions of interest to organise an event at the ACW has now closed. Please check the website for more information about registering as a participant and travelling to Nairobi.***
Do you have a question that we haven’t covered in the FAQ? Please send an email to Climate-Week@unfccc.int with the subject line: FAQ.
Regional and local governments, the private sector, investors, youth organizations, science organizations, universities and schools, cooperatives, indigenous people organizations, filmmakers, media and others are welcome to apply to host an event.
This year, there will not be a separate application for the Action Hub. We ask anyone who would like to host an event to fill out the expression of interest form here.
Hosting an event is free of charge, with each event host responsible for arrangements and related costs, including flight, visa, food and accommodation as well as materials needed for their event (for example, printed agendas, brochures, USBs, etc.).
This year, all events at Africa Climate Week will be in-person events. The UNFCCC will offer the possibility for remote speakers to connect to individual meetings but virtual-only meetings will not be possible.
The Africa Climate Action Summit is being co-hosted by the Government of Kenya and the African Union Commission on 4th to 6th September 2023 and is co-convened by the African Development Bank and the Global Center on Adaptation. More information on this event will be made available soon.
We encourage organizers and participants of Africa Climate Week to continue to check our website, where we will soon publish additional information about registration and information about travelling to Nairobi.
