Time and location
Applicants will be able to indicate their preference for one of the following timeslots for in-person interaction and indicate their flexibility to be allocated to the other timeslot if needed:
- 9th June 2023 (Friday), in-person interaction taking place between 13:00 – 15:00 (CEST)
- 12th June 2023 (Monday), in-person interaction taking place between 13:00 – 15:00 (CEST)
The ACE Gallery will take place inside the World Conference Centre Bonn (WCCB). Specific location is to be confirmed. Due to logistical challenges, virtual options to present or participate will not be available. However, all posters will be uploaded to the UNFCCC website prior to the session.
How to submit
Use the following form. Also, download the licensing agreement here and attach the signed agreement to the form. Only a separate link to the poster should be contained in the form, thus limiting the size of the submitted input. The full-sized poster can be shared via Dropbox, OneDrive, WeTransfer, etc.
Submission deadline
Four weeks before the start of the session. 8 May 2023, 11:59 (CEST).
Submission format
A1, a minimum of 4961 pixels x 7016 pixels (print resolution) and 1191 pixels x 1648 pixels (screen resolution), with either vertical or horizontal orientation. The posters should be made in English and the presenters should be able to communicate with participants in English. Multilingual versions of the poster can be disseminated via a link/QR code.
How will the posters suggestions be evaluated
Due to the limitation in space, not all applications will be selected. The secretariat will conduct an evaluation based on the below-listed evaluation criteria:
- Adheres to the formats – i.e. size of poster, language (samples of posters available here and here);
- Is directly related to one or more ACE elements – climate education and public awareness, training, public participation and access to information, and international cooperation in these areas, and/or youth engagement in climate action;
- The contents of the posters showcase the relevant work on the ground at all levels. The posters and the in-person interaction should foster engagement and collaboration that goes beyond the poster session. In this sense, applications made by organizations will be prioritized;
- Joint application by two or more organizations (e.g., a joint poster by a Party and a UN organization, or by a civil society organizations and a youth organization) are highly encouraged;
- Gets the messages across to a broad audience;
- Reflects gender-responsiveness and intergenerational equity;
- In-person presenters would have already been accepted to attend the session in the Online Registration System for SB 58;
- Presenters are responsible for their funding;
- Should not be politically defamatory.
Important Note: The selected presenters are fully responsible for preparing and bringing high-quality printed posters to the session. Specific drop-off time and locations will be notified to the selected presenters prior to the session. Pinboards will be provided by the secretariat.
