The 38^th meeting of the Least Developed Countries Expert Group took place virtually from 17 to 21 August 2020. The Group discussed progress in implementing its activities for 2020–2021; with representatives of the Green Climate Fund and the Global Environment Facility and its agencies, the continued provision of support to the least developed countries for the process to formulate and implement national adaptation plans and the implementation of the least developed countries work programme, which includes the preparation and implementation of national adaptation programmes of action; and with representatives of the least developed countries and relevant organizations, collaboration on providing support to the least developed countries.
