Abstract

The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its nineteenth session, invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 15 April 2004, their views on issues relating to harvested wood products, taking into account the information contained in the technical paper FCCC/TP/2003/7 and Corr.1, and the appendix on harvested wood products to the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) entitled Good Practice Guidance for Land Use, Land-use Change and Forestry. It noted that these submissions could include national data and methodological and other information on changes in carbon stocks and emissions of greenhouse gases relating to harvested wood products, stating the approach or approaches used for this purpose. The secretariat has received seven such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are reproduced in the language in which they were
received and without formal editing.
