The objective of the DNA Forum is to provide opportunities for DNA representatives to exchange views, share experiences, provide feedback on follow-up actions relating to the CDM, and bring forward common views and issues to the attention of the Executive Board.

The 2021 edition focused on providing: (1) some insights into the latest development of the CDM, including overall picture on what the Executive Board discussed last year and what has been processed so far; (2) some reflections on the outcomes from COP25 and expectations for COP26, and current ongoing discussion on Article 6; and (3) information on the World Bank’s new Climate Emissions Reduction Facility (CERF), an umbrella fund for climate finance that aims to catalyze financing for low-carbon development projects through “Result-Based Climate Finance” to complement “Activity-Based Climate Finance”.

In the second part of the forum, participants also had an opportunity to participate in break-out session, divided into either English or Spanish groups to further discuss experiences and opportunities for registered CDM activities.
