Are you a young singer or musician passionate about climate action and looking for a spot in the limelight to voice your concern? Then the Global Challenges Youth Music Contest 2015 (GYMC15) is the perfect opportunity for you!

Young singers and musicians can win a trip to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris (COP21) and present their songs on a TV show in Paris by submitting a self-created music video clip about climate change.

Applications for the online competition close on the 15 October, so videos should be uploaded as soon as possible. Youth applicants up to 35 years old are eligible to enter.

The entries should be original songs that share a positive message about youth-led climate action, encouraging low-carbon lifestyles, and showing policymakers the influence of young people in global cooperation.

The three finalists will receive a round trip to Paris and present their songs at the 2015 GYMC TV show held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 6 December, along with visiting the COP. The event will be attended by celebrities and be broadcast worldwide.

The Global Challenges Youth Music Contest 2015 is led by International Association for the Advancement of Innovative Approaches (IAAI) and Global Challenges World Cup (GLOCHA) in partnership with UNESCO and the European Broadcasting Union, and promoted by the UNFCCC secretariat.
