Virtual briefing on the implementation of the UNFCCC budget 2020-21 and the secretariat structure

As a follow-up to the briefing sessions organized in June 2020, and continuing the secretariat's ongoing efforts to enhance the transparency and clarity of the UNFCCC budget process, virtual briefing sessions, open to Parties and observer States, will be held to provide information on the implementation of the UNFCCC budget and secretariat structure.

November 2020 briefing sessions:

To accommodate differences in time zones, two sessions covering the same information will be held as indicated below. Delegates can choose, at their convenience, which of the two sessions they will like to participate in:

• 26 November: 16:00-18:00 CET
• 27 November: 08:00-10:00 CET

The sessions will cover the following matters:

2019 External audit report (by the Auditors)

Part B:

(By the secretariat)

1. Implementation of the budget for the 2020-2021 biennium
2. Status of implementation of the new secretariat structure
3. Preliminary thinking on the approach for preparing the 2022-2023 biennium budget
