Hosted by the United Nations University’s Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), this workshop is part of the Urban Futures and Sustainability Transformation (FAST) Programme. FAST focuses on co-creating actionable knowledge to transform cities into better places for all.
Objectives
Raise awareness about the potential of coalitions, including individuals’ transformative powers when working with others as 'glocal' change makers, in driving transformative change.
Equip participants with practical skills to build inclusive coalitions for effective climate action while fostering long-term collaboration and replication these learnings.
Share and advance tools and methodologies that facilitate collaboration by recognizing success stories of 1) ongoing socially inclusive climate actions (awareness), 2) strategies to maintain momentum in climate actions (accountability), and 3) collective strengths (transformative capacities).
Engage participants in self-assessments activities to reflect on personal roles, strengths and collaboration potential, share their initiatives, materials and capacities, and facilitate network expansion and support for transformative climate actions.
