Background

Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF) is a non-profit network that encourages feminist action that transforms systems of power, advances climate justice, and promotes gender equality. Our work centers on three pillars: Capacity building and strengthening, policy influencing, and campaigns and awareness-raising.  

Objectives

• Enhance participants’ understanding of the critical linkages between gender justice and the Rio Conventions. 

• Build and strengthen the capacity of participants to recognize and analyze how gender intersects with climate and environmental issues and improves synergies to integrate gender-responsive policies in the implementation of the Rio Conventions. 

• Share knowledge, experiences, and best practices on how feminist organizations support the collaboration of the three conventions to address interconnected environmental challenges.
