The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, at its first session, invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 1 September 2006, relevant information and views on how best to carry out the first review of the Kyoto Protocol under its Article 9 (FCCC/KP/CMP/2005/8, para. 77). The secretariat has received 10 such submissions.
