The twenty-second session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) was held at the Maritim Hotel, Bonn, Germany, from 19 to 27 May 2005. The Vice-Chair of the SBSTA, Mr. Amjad Abdulla (Maldives), opened the session and welcomed all Parties and observers. He welcomed Mr. Ibrahim Al-Ajmi (Oman) as Rapporteur of the SBSTA.
