Abstract

The Conference of the Parties (COP), by decision 4/CP.12, paragraph 1(a), invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, annually, information on the activities they have undertaken pursuant to decisions 2/CP.7 and 2/CP.10. The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP), by decision 6/CMP.2, paragraph 1(a), invited Parties to submit information on activities they have undertaken pursuant to decision 29/CMP.1 and invited relevant multilateral and bilateral agencies and the private sector to provide reports documenting their support for the implementation of the framework undertaken pursuant to decision 29/CMP.1. The COP, by decision 1/CP.18, paragraph 75(a-c), invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 18 February 2013, information on the activities that they have undertaken pursuant to decisions 2/CP.7, 2/CP.10, 1/CP.16 and 2/CP.17, as well as views on specific issues to be considered at the 2nd meeting of the Durban Forum on capacity-building and on the potential enhancement of its organization. The CMP also, by decision 10/CMP.8, paragraph 3, invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by the same date, their views as part of their annual submissions in accordance with decision 4/CP.12 on specific thematic issues related to capacity-building for the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol in developing countries, to be considered at the 2nd meeting of the Durban Forum on capacity-building. The secretariat has received six such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are attached and reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing
