The Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol, at its seventh session, invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 24 April 2009, views on the coverage of greenhouse gases, sectors and source categories, common metrics to calculate the carbon dioxide equivalence of anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks, possible approaches for targeting sectoral emissions and other issues, for compilation into a miscellaneous document for consideration at its eighth session. The secretariat has received five such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, the submissions are contained in this document and reproduced in the languages in which they were received and without formal editing
