Call for input 2023 - structured public consultation: Removal activities under the Article 6.4 mechanism

Background

The Article 6.4 mechanism Supervisory Body is seeking inputs regarding removal activities under the Article 6.4 mechanism. 

This work is being carried out in response to a request of the CMA (decision 3/CMA.3, paragraph 6(c)).

The Supervisory Body, at its fifth meeting, requested the secretariat to launch a call for public inputs with a view to seeking further input from stakeholders (see SB005 meeting report, paragraphs 20, 21 and 23).

This structured public consultation is being conducted as per the request of the CMA (decision 7/CMA.4, paragraph 22), that requested the Supervisory Body to consider broader inputs from stakeholders provided in a structured public consultation process.

Open Call 

The public consultation process is open for a two-week period from 5th to 19th June 2023.

Submission Details  

Stakeholders are encouraged to provide input by answering the questions provided in the information note “Guidance and questions for further work on removalsas contained in annex 2 to SB005 meeting report.

The call is now closed

Given the proximity of the sixth meeting of the Supervisory Body, the call was closed on the 19th June 2023, however late submissions will be accepted as detailed in paragraph 23 of the SB005 meeting report.

The inputs received are publicly available and will be considered by the Supervisory Body at its sixth meeting from 10 to 13 July 2023.
