The new World Bank Group report "Carbon Pricing Watch 2016" provides information about key developments and prospects of existing and emerging carbon initiatives. It shows that in 2015, revenues from emissions trading schemes and carbon taxes rose by 60 percent, 13 percent of greenhouse gas emissions are now covered by carbon pricing initiatives and that charging for emissions is seen as an important way for countries to deliver on the promises they made last December at the COP21 in Paris.
