The IPCC Inventory Software, its main features, new functionalities on version 2.80 will be presented.

• Session 3: IPCC Inventory Software for National GHG inventories – New Functionalities in the Energy Sector (TSU, IPCC TFI) – (20 min.)

This section will demonstrate – by navigating through the software – how to use the new features and functionalities added to the IPCC Inventory Software with a view to improving the GHG estimates in the Energy sector.

• Session 4: IPCC Inventory Software for National GHG inventories – New Functionalities in the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector (TSU, IPCC TFI) – (20 min.)

This section will demonstrate – by navigating through the software – how to use the new features and functionalities added to the IPCC Inventory Software with a view to improving the GHG estimates in the AFOLU sector.

• Session 5: Implications of Outcomes from COP26 on further Refinement of the IPCC Inventory Software (TSU, IPCC TFI) – (10 min.)

In decision 5/CMA.3, the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement, requests the secretariat to facilitate interoperability between the reporting tools and the IPCC Inventory Software and invites the IPCC to engage in related work.

This section will explain the new features implemented by the IPCC TFI to refine the IPCC Inventory Software in this context.
