The Entertainment and Culture for Climate Action (ECCA) session at COP30 will spotlight the transformative power of storytelling in shaping a sustainable future. Featuring the launch of the ECCA Global Film and Television Study and the ECCA Development Fund Scoping Study, the event will explore how the film and television industries can drive climate awareness, inspire behaviour change, and mobilise audiences worldwide. A special feature, “The Paris Agreement: Article 12 – Where Culture Resides,” will underscore the vital role of culture in achieving climate goals.

Through insightful discussion and new research, this session will reveal how creative narratives can accelerate climate action and bridge the gap between policy and public engagement.

By showcasing the potential of cultural influence, it will invite industry leaders, policymakers, and creators to collaborate in turning climate ambition into shared global momentum for change.
