National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) offer a crucial opportunity for countries to identify and address their medium- and long-term climate adaptation needs. When designed and implemented with a synergy lens, NAPs can also contribute to the objectives of the other Rio Conventions—the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). Building synergies not only enhances coherence in planning and implementation but also lays the foundation for integrated investment frameworks that can attract and align funding to meet multiple environmental goals.

This webinar, organized under the Rio Conventions Joint Capacity Building Programme, aims to unpack how synergies can be practically realized in NAP processes and how these efforts can catalyze financing for joint action.
