Mr. Michał Kurtyka elected as President of COP 24
Informal consultations were undertaken by Mr. Gregorz Grobicki (Poland)
The COP decided to continue consultations at COP 25.
The supplementary provisional agenda was adopted without sub-item 5 (c) and item 16 and the three new proposals received from Honduras on behalf of the AILAC Group of Countries, Iran on behalf of the Asia Pacific States and Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Arab Group. The President held consultations on sub-item 5 (c) and item 16. These consultations did not achieve consensus. There were no consultations on the three new proposals.
Consultations were undertaken by Majid Shafiepour (Islamic Republic of Iran), Vice President of the COP. Status of nominations can be round on the Election and Membership website of UNFCCC. Groups and constituencies are encouraged to submit outstanding nominations to the Executive Secretary by 28 February 2019.
