Join us for “Art & Climate: Catalysts for Resilience”, a Global Climate Action event hosted by the ECCA Arts Charter at COP30. Inspired by Bertolt Brecht’s idea that “art is not a mirror held up to reality, but a hammer with which to shape it,” this session will explore how the arts can spark imagination, shift public narratives, and mobilize action for a more sustainable and just future. By bridging heritage and creativity, artists transform awareness into agency — turning wisdom into movement and creativity into change.

Through an engaging mix of dialogue, film, and discussion, international and Brazilian artists will share how the visual arts are advancing climate justice, amplifying resilience, and bringing the ACE Agenda and Article 19 of the Action Agenda to life. The session will introduce the Arts Charter for Climate Action, highlighting global and local initiatives embedding sustainability into creative practice. Participants will hear stories of artistic collaboration and cultural leadership that demonstrate how art can critique, inspire, and unite — serving as a catalyst for systemic change and collective climate resilience.
