Abstract

This report covers the work of the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC) during the period from 15 September 2011 to 27 September 2012, during which the JISC held three meetings and one round-table consultation with stakeholders. This report highlights the achievements of and the challenges faced by the JISC in its supervision of the mechanism. In particular, it reports the work of the JISC in response to the request by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP) at its seventh session. The report contains a number of recommendations for actions by the CMP in the context of the review of the joint implementation guidelines and recommendations to ensure a smooth transition post-2012. Lastly, it reports on the financial resources for the work on joint implementation
