This technical paper synthesizes views from Parties on the overall approach for the revision of the “Guidelines for the preparation of national communications by Parties included in Annex I to the Convention, Part II: UNFCCC reporting guidelines on national communications”. It also provides a technical analysis of the current reporting guidelines
for national communications to identify further requirements which need to be updated, modified or enhanced so as to ensure coherence and consistency with other reporting requirements under the Convention and to better reflect the latest decisions from the Conference of Parties on relevant matters
