1. The Conference of the Parties invited Parties and relevant organizations to submit to the secretariat, by 26 March 2014, information on their experience with the application of the initial guidelines for the formulation of national adaptation plans,1 for consideration by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation at its fortieth session.
2. The secretariat has received seven such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, the four submissions from Parties3 and the three submissions from intergovernmental organizations4 are attached and reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing.
