This document provides a summary of the pre-sessional expert meeting on economic diversification in the context of the impact of the implementation of response measures under Article 4, paragraph 8, of the Convention, which was held in Bonn, Germany, from 16 to 17 May 2006, as mandated by decision 1/CP.10. Discussions focused on economic diversification and sustainable development in developing countries, technical support for structural and institutional capacity for economic diversification, and foreign and domestic investments and partnerships to support economic diversification.
