This document reports on the experience gained from a pilot training course on the review of greenhouse gas inventories using traditional and e-learning methods, as requested by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) at its seventeenth session. The document includes a proposal for a training programme to ensure the competence of experts participating in review teams under the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol, including the potential financial implications.
