Background

The Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) organizes side events during the SB sessions to discuss the experiences and progress made by the least developed countries (LDCs) in addressing adaptation, and the support provided by the group to the LDCs on adaptation.

At this session’s side event, the LEG will present its vision and priorities in supporting the LDCs and provide updates on key strategic activities including those arising from COP 26 mandate such as the draft rules of procedure. It will give space for the Operating entities of the Financial mechanism to provide update on supporting LDCs on formulating and implementing NAPs and would also showcase country reflections on success stories, challenges with the formulation of NAPs and experiences with implementation.
