Around the world, communities, especially the most vulnerable, are already facing the realities of climate change, yet many are leading with innovative, locally driven solutions. The Global Stocktake and NDC Synthesis Report, released ahead of COP30, reaffirm that while progress has been made, achieving a livable and equitable future demands full implementation of commitments and a significant boost in ambition. COP30 represents a pivotal opportunity to move from promises to delivery, scaling up inclusive, science-based action that improves lives.

The Global Climate Action (GCA) Agenda in Belém will advance this vision through two weeks of events showcasing collective ambition and practical solutions. Opening on 11 November and culminating on 19 November with the GCA High-Level Closing Event, the programme, convened by the Climate High-Level Champions, the COP 29 and COP 30 Presidents of the Conference of the Parties (COP), and the UNFCCC Executive Secretary, will unite leaders and stakeholders across all sectors to accelerate collaboration and implementation.

As the capstone of the GCA Agenda, the GCA High-Level Closing Event  “Connecting Solutions and Accelerating Implementation Actions” will spotlight key outcomes and announcements, showcasing contributions from cities, regions, businesses, investors, Indigenous Peoples, and youth. It will also set out the next five-year plan of the GCA Agenda, charting a forward-looking path for scaling up transformative climate solutions beyond COP30.
