Background
Building on the success of the first Climate Policy Innovators Youth Camp held in February 2025, the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RCC Asia-Pacific) is organizing the second edition of the Climate Policy Innovators Youth Camp in 2026.
The camp responds to strong demand and feedback from youth participants for deeper, more structured capacity-building on climate governance, policy processes, and implementation pathways. It is designed to strengthen young people’s ability to meaningfully engage in climate policymaking and implementation at national, regional, and international levels, particularly in the context of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).
The 2026 edition features enhanced modules combining technical knowledge, applied skills, and hands-on learning, while placing strong emphasis on inclusion, equity, and intersectionality across gender, disability, Indigenous identity, and socioeconomic background.
